If this bill passes, it means that:

Registered architects must renew their registration annually and provide a fit and proper person statement.
Licensed plumbers face fines for issuing compliance certificates that are incorrect or use expired forms.
Relevant councils may disclose the name and address of an adjoining property owner to a party requesting the information to serve a building notice.
Property owners carrying out protection work must take reasonable steps to find the name and address of adjoining owners.
The Governor in Council can make regulations to prohibit the installation or connection of reticulated gas in buildings.
Municipal or private building surveyors can serve a notice requiring a building owner to show cause why action should not be taken to remove a danger to life, safety, health, or property.
Courts may extend the limitation periods for parties bringing building or plumbing actions.
