The Victorian Early Childhood Regulatory Authority establishes and maintains the Victorian Early Childhood Worker Register.

Criminal offences are created for accessing, using, or disclosing information from the Victorian Early Childhood Worker Register without authorisation.

The Victorian Early Childhood Regulatory Authority can direct early childhood service providers to provide information for the Register.

Early childhood service providers must comply with notices to provide information for the Register.

The Minister is prohibited from recommending a person for appointment as the Early Childhood Regulator if that person is an insolvent under administration, a member of parliament, a local councillor, or has a conviction for an indictable offence.
