Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

The Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission is no longer required to hold examinations in private.
The definition of a public body now includes associated entities.
The definition of a public officer now includes associated entities.
Associated entities are defined as any person or body providing goods or services, including sub-contractors, agents, and joint ventures.
Third party contractors are defined as those entering contracts or sub-contracts within a chain linked to an associated entity.
The Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission Amendment (Follow the Money) Act 2026 is repealed one year after receiving Royal Assent.
