Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

The Authority can grant reporting exemptions unconditionally or based on specific conditions.
The Authority may incorporate external documents, codes, or standards when granting, amending, or revoking reporting exemptions.
The Authority can take longer than the standard timeframe to determine an exemption application if the usual period is not reasonably practicable.
The Authority may make iterative changes to the draft Victorian Recycling Infrastructure Plan and its amendments during the consultation process.
The Secretary to the Department of Transport and Planning is included as a party the Authority must consult with regarding the Victorian Recycling Infrastructure Plan.
